Happy 4th of July to those of you who live in the United States and celebrate! The 4th of July has been one of my favorite holidays since childhood thanks to years of family traditions and fireworks.
This year, I used three polishes from Julep to create a glittery, holographic red-white-and-blue mani.
Here’s a close-up shot of this mani under artificial lighting.
We have a lot going on in this manicure, so I’ll go over each polish individually! First up, Julep Kris. Kris is an iridescent silver glitter that is opaque in 2-3 coats of polish. I’m wearing two coats of polish in this manicure, and as you can see, there is a bit of visible nail line showing with two coats.
Ginny is a dark cobalt blue with red microshimmer and scattered holographic microflakes. This was my first time using Ginny, and I was really pleased with the formula. It’s a really beautiful polish in person, although the holographic effect isn’t crazy strong. However, lots of you may love that type of subtle holo!
Anastasia is a mini from Julep that was originally part of a holiday set. Unfortunately, this set is not available at this time. Anastasia has a red jelly base with red micro glitters and scattered holographic glitters. This polish applies very smoothly and is opaque in 2-3 coats of polish.
