Today I have more shades from the upcoming Hella Handmade Creations pre-order to share! This post will include polishes from Supernatural Lacquer, Rogue Lacquer, POP Polish, Grace-full, Lollipop Posse Lacquer, and Ms Sparkle. In case you missed it, you can find part 1 of my August HHC swatches featuring six other brands right here.
New to Hella Handmade Creations? Every month, HHC offers exclusive polishes from your favorite indie nail polish brands during a week-long pre-sale. The August pre-sale will be open from August 14th at 12:01 AM EST until August 21 at 11:59 PM Hawaiian on Hella Handmade Creations’ website. You can buy as many polishes as you want during the pre-sale. Each brand participating in HHC has picked their own theme to create specially inspired polishes.
Up first is Supernatural Lacquer “You Don’t Play A Player”, inspired by Firefly. This polish has a cap of 150 bottles.
You Don’t Play a Player has a dark brown-black jelly base that leans purple; UCC flakies; pink/red/gold aurora shimmer; gold/red/green micro glitters; gold micro holographic shards; and scattered holographic shimmer.
This shade is absolutely mesmerizing in the sun! The shimmer is incredible against the deep base color. I used three coats of polish to reach this level of opacity. The third coat really deepened the color to this near-black shade.
Here’s one last shot of this shade in natural lighting in the shade, where the flakies really stand out.
Grace-full “Shakin All Joker” is inspired by the joker with the theme DC. This polish has a cap of 80 bottles.
Shakin All Joker has a purple base with linear holographic and a green shift, plus green aurora shimmer.
This shade was opauqe in two coats of color and the formula was very easy to work with. Here are a coupe shots of this shade in natural lighting, under direct sunlight.
Rogue Lacquer is continuing their theme, the Justice League, with the shade “Son of Atlantis”, which has no cap.
Son of Atlantis has a grey base with yellow-gold shimmer, gold microflakies, and holographic shimmer.
Here are a couple shots of this shade in natural lighting, under direct sunlight. This shade is opaque in two coats of color. The brush strokes are slightly noticeable, so I would recommend applying this shade in as straight strokes as possible.
“Off With Their Heads” from POP Polish was inspired by Helena Bonham Carter’s portrayal of the Queen of Hearts. POP Polish’s current theme is “Female Villains” and this polish has no cap.
“Off With Their Heads” is a red holographic with gold holographic glitters and black holographic glitters.
This shade is spectacular in the sun! The holographic effect is gorgeous. This polish was opaque in two coats of polish for me and the formula was very easy to work with.
Ms Sparkle “Creek” is inspired by Trolls; this polish has no cap.
Creek is a manganese violet crelly with a blue shift, microglitters, holographic micro flakies, and iridescent flakes.
The blue shimmer in this shade pops beautifully in the sun. I found this polish to be quite streaky on the first coat, but it easily becomes opaque on the second coat.
Lollipop Possee Lacquer’s “Moderately Socially Maladjusted” is inspired by “The Magicians” and has no cap.
Moderately Socially Maladjusted has a vibrant royal blue jelly base and is packed with copper/gold/green/red shifting iridescent flakes; red/orange shifting chameleon chrome flakes; pink/red shimmer; and silver holographic flakes! This polish has no cap.
The pink shimmer in this polish shines beautifully in the sun. I used two coats of polish for these swatch photos. The formula was very easy to work with and the flakies spread easily throughout the nail.
Here’s one last shot of this shade in natural, indirect lighting, where you can see more of the flakies packed into this shade.
The polishes shown in this post were sent to me for free in exchange for swatching and my honest review. Thank you so much for reading!
