Today I have part 2 of my swatches for the September Hella Handmade Creations pre-order! If you missed part 1 of my swatches, you can find that blog post here.
New to Hella Handmade Creations? Every month, HHC offers exclusive polishes from your favorite indie nail polish brands during a week-long pre-sale. The September pre-sale will be open from September 14th at 12:01 AM EST until September 21 at 11:59 PM Hawaiian on Hella Handmade Creations’ website. You can buy as many polishes as you want during the pre-sale. Each brand participating in HHC has picked their own theme to create specially inspired polishes.
“River of Radiance” from JReine was inspired by New Orleans. This polish will retail for $13.00 and has no cap.
This shade has a dark blurple base with aurora shimmer, red and gold flakes, and an abundance of copper and green UCC flakes. This shade is opaque in two to three coats of polish.
Here are a couple shots of this shades outdoors under direct sunlight.
In indirect light, you can really see how full of flakies this shade is!
POP Polish is continuing with their theme Female Villains with the shade “Good Night”, inspired by Harley Quinn. This glitter shade will be $10.50 and has no cap.
Good Night has a midnight blue base with blue and purple shifting shimmer; holographic blue moon glitters; silver star glitters; and hot pink diamond glitters. I used three coats of polish for these swatch photos. I found that the best way to get the chunky diamond, star, and crescent moon glitters to spread evenly across the nail was to cap the bottle and shake the polish in between every 1-2 coats of polish to get those glitters moving around in the bottle.
Outdoors under indirect light, the blue shimmer and chunky glitter shapes stand out beautifully!
Colors by Llarowe has another shade inspired by Bruno Mars for us: “Uptown Funk”. This polish with be $11.00 and has no cap.
Uptown Funk is a bright orchid pink with aurora shimmer and scattered holographic. This shade is opaque in two coats of polish.
This shade is absolutely stunning in the sun! The holographic and shimmer effects are just beautiful.
Ms Sparkle was inspired by Trolls to create “Branch”, which will be $11.00 and has no cap.
Branch is a black based glitterbomb with gunmetal and black micro glitters, black shreds, and holo microflakies. For these swatch photos, I used two coats of polish. However, you can definitely build this shade up to three coats for a darker black, or even use it as a topper!
In the sunlight, the scattered holographic effect as well as the black flakies stand out.
Supernatural Lacquer was inspired by Firefly to create “Pretty Cunning, Don’t Ya Think?”, which will be $12.50 and has no cap.
Pretty Cunning, Don’t Ya Think? is a burnt orange with red to green aurora shift, a mix of warm-toned color shifting and metallic micro flakes, gold and red metallic microglitter, and scattered holographic. This shade is sheer on its first coat, but builds up really nicely. I used two coats of polish for these swatch photos.
This burnt orange shade brightens up considerably in the sunshine.
Here’s another shot of this shade outdoors in indirect sunlight where you can see the flakies! This polish would make a phenomenal color for fall!
“We do this Together” from Rogue Lacquer was inspired by Wonder Woman as part of their theme, the Justice League. This polish will retail for $11.00 and does not have a cap.
We do this Together is a medium grey with fiery red shimmer, holographic, and red/orange/pink color shifting flakies. I used two coats of polish for these swatch photos.
The light red shimmer in this polish is stunning in the sunlight!
“My So Called Life” from Seventy Seven Lacquer is inspired by My So Called Life. This polish will be $13.00 and has a cap of 100 bottles.
My So Called Life has a black jelly base packed with UCC flakies, iridescent flakies, violet/gold shifting shimmer, orange shimmer, and holo dust.
Here are some shots of this shade outdoors and under direct sunlight.
Look at those phenomenal flakies in indirect light!
MckFresh is introducing “Toodle-e-doo, I’ll Shift for You”, inspired by TV show Aaahh! Real Monsters. This shade was inspired character Oblina and will be $13.00 with a cap of 100 bottles of polish.
This shade is a clear to black shifting thermal packed with iridescent glitter, red and chartreuse glitters, and holographic dust. I used three coats of polish for these swatch photos. The third coat of polish really deepened the cold state from a dark brown to more of black for me.
Here are some shots of this shade in its completely warm state, a nude-leaning clear shade.
And, here are some shots of this shade in its completely cold state.
This shade brightens up a bit in the warm state in direct sunlight. I love how the sunlight hits the gold glitters!
