Today I’m back with part 2 of my October Hella Handmade Creations swatches! If you missed part 1, click here to see even more swatches for the upcoming October pre-order.
New to Hella Handmade Creations? Every month, HHC offers exclusive polishes from your favorite indie nail polish brands during a week-long pre-sale. The October pre-sale will be open from October 14th at 12:01 AM EST until October 21 at 11:59 PM Hawaiian on Hella Handmade Creations’ website. You can buy as many polishes as you want during the pre-sale. Each brand participating in HHC has picked their own theme to create specially inspired polishes.
First up is a stunning shimmer shade from Quixotic Polish inspired by Parks & Recreation. This shade will be $10.00 and has no cap.
“All My Secrets” has a greyed out turquoise crelly base with blue shimmers and a touch of holographic effect. This polish was opaque in two coats of polish for me, and the formula was super creamy and easy to apply. I love how the blue shimmers make this shade look like it’s glowing!
The blue shimmer in this shade is absolutely beautiful outdoors in direct sunlight.
Colors by Llarowe is back with another shade inspired by Bruno Mars! This polish will be $11.00 and has no cap.
“Grenade” is a jet black linear holographic with galaxy holographic. This polish had a great formula and was opaque in two coats of polish.
The holographic effect is outstanding in the sun!
Heather’s Hues was inspired by Peridot from Steven Universe. This shade will be $12.50 and has no cap.
“H-2-Oh My Gosh!” is a deep green with peridot metallic flakes; various green holographic; holographic microflakes; and a mix of lime, blue, and gold iridescent and multichrome flakes. This shade was opaque in two coats of polish for me.
Outdoors in direct sunlight the flakies are more noticeable and you can see the soft holographic effect come to life.
Lilypad Lacquer is continuing to go through the Zodiac signs. Their latest shade will be $15.00 with no cap.
“Libra” is a dusty lavender pastel holographic with blue to pink shifting shimmer. The blue shimmer is beautiful against the lavender base. This shade was opaque in 2-3 coats of polish.
Here’s a shot of Libra outdoors under direct sunlight, which makes the holographic effect stand out.
Supernatural Lacquer continued their theme, Firefly, with a beautiful magnetic. This polish will be $12.00 without a magnet, or $13.00 with a magnet. This polish has no cap.
“Captain Tightpants” has a midnight blue base with an antiqued copper magnet effect, plus orange/green/gold and bright silver flakes with a touch of scattered holographic. To create this slim magnetic effect, I used a polish magnet over the second coat of polish and used the magnet again over top coat. I find that it’s easiest to use the magnet one nail at a time so the polish doesn’t dry before you have a chance to hold the magnet over it. I recommend holding the magnet over your nail for 20-30 seconds.

Turtle Tootsie was inspired by Marvel’s Silver Surfer to create this holographic shade. This polish will be $11.00 and has no cap.
“The Universe Needs Me” is a silver linear holographic loaded with silver microglitters, silver shimmer, and silver flakies. I used two coats of polish for my swatches.
Again, we have another beautiful holographic outdoors under direct sunlight.
Sayuri has a beautiful coral shade inspired by Studio Ghibli for us. This shade will be $13.00 and has a cap of 160 bottles.
“Magic, Love, and Ham” is a coral-red holographic polish with a subtle aqua glow and sparks of orange and teal iridescent glitters. I used two coats of polish for my swatch photos.
I love the bright pop of coral you get when you take this polish into the sun!
Ms Sparkle is beginning a new theme, “vintage toys”. This polish will be $11.00 and has no cap.
“An Ode to Lisa Frank” is a multichrome with holographic sparkles, microflakies, aurora pigments, UCC flakies, and iridescent flakies. This shade was opaque in two coats of polish.
Here’s a shot of this shade outdoors under direct sunlight.
The final shade I have to share is from Grace-full Nail Polish inspired by DC. This polish will be $11.00 and has a cap of 85 bottles.
“Ner, Ner, Ner Batgirl” is an indigo holographic with gold flakies and shimmer. This beautiful shade was opaque in two coats of polish. I absolutely love the addition of the gold flakes in this shade!
Finally, here’s a shot of this shade outdoors in direct sunlight where the holographic effect stands out beautifully.
