Bees Knees

Bees Knees Wand Core Collection

This September, Bees Knees released a collection of Harry Potter-inspired unicorn pee pigment polishes as exclusive shades for The Original Unicorn Pee Polish group on Facebook. Now, these beautiful polishes are back and available for purchase from Bees Knees!  This collection will be available again  on December 1st as part of Bees Knees’ holiday promotion throughout the first twelve days of December. But if you want one of these pretties, don’t wait to purchase them! The shades available during this holiday promotion are only available in fixed amount. I have three shades from this collection to share, shown both with a base color and without. Keep scrolling for swatches!

These polishes were all inspired by Harry Potter wand cores. First up is “Unicorn Hair”.  My swatches show this shade with the purple base color, or “undie”, provided by Bees Knees on all nails except for my ring finger, which shows this shade by itself.

Unicorn Hair is a lilac purple with original unicorn pee pigment.

I used two coats of the “undie” purple base polish plus two coats of Unicorn Hair for these swatches. On my ring finger, I used three coats of Unicorn Hair without a base color. As you can see below, Unicorn Hair has a beautiful red to light green shift due to the unicorn pee pigment.

Next up is “Jackelope Antler”. My swatches show this shade with the matching base color, or “undie”, provided by Bees Knees on all nails except for my ring finger, which shows this shade by itself.

Jackelope Antler is a light red-toned burgundy with original unicorn pee pigment.

I used two coats of the “undie” base color plus two coats of Jackelope Antler for these swatches. On my ring finger, I used three coats of Jackelope Antler without a base color. Again, this shade shows off a beautiful red to green unicorn pee shift.

The final shade I have to share is “Boomslang Venom”. My swatches show this shade with the blue base color, or “undie”, provided by Bees Knees on all nails except for my ring finger, which shows this shade by itself.

Boomslang Venom is a cobalt blue with original unicorn pee pigment.

I used two coats of the “undie” base color plus two coats of Boomslang Venom for these swatches. On my ring finger, I used three coats of Boomslang Venom without a base color. The red to green unicorn pee pigment shift in this shade is my favorite out of the three; I love how the shift looks against the cobalt base!

  1. Hi Rachel,

You say the collection is available on Sunday 1st December. Actually the 1st is Saturday, so is it the 1st or Sunday they are available?

    Thanks,

    Lindsey
