Julep

Hanukkah Manicure with Juleps “Carmen”, “Channon”, and “Jamie”

Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate! Tonight I have a blue and white manicure in honor of the eighth and final night of Hanukkah to share.

I used three polishes for this final manicure: Julep “Carmen” (cobalt blue creme), Julep “Channon” (white matte shimmer), and Julep “Jamie” (iridescent flakie topper).

Here are some additional swatches of Carmen and Channon half-way through the manicure before I added Julep Jamie or top coat. These swatches show Carmen on its own; this shade is an incredibly shiny cobalt blue that is opaque in two coats. This shade is a long-time favorite of mine and has an incredible formula. Before top coat, Channon dries down matte. Channon has a decent formula that is opaque in three coats. I would recommend allowing it to dry fulling before adding another coat to avoid brush streaks on the nail. These next two swatches show Channon before top coat in its natural matte state.

I then added one coat of Jamie over Carmen, plus top coat over all nails for a shiny, smooth effect.

The iridescent flakes in just one coat of Jamie are much more visible in person, like they are in this shot taken in indirect lighting! This was my first time using this top coat and I was really pleased with the flakie effect.

Thanks so much for reading! Sending light and love to all this holiday season.
