KB Shimmer “Hubble’d Together” PPU April 2018

I am kicking myself for taking so long to wear this beautiful flakie polish from April’s Polish Pickup sale!

The Polish Pickup theme back in April was “Across the Universe”, and “Hubble’d Together” was inspired by photos of Jupiter taken by the Hubble telescope. This is a pretty sheer shade, but I only ended up needing two coats of polish for the following swatch photos. As you can see in some photos, I do have a tiny bit of visible nail line; if this is something that bothers you, you can easily add a third coat to make a shade like this more opaque. The formula was fantastic and so easy to work with!

Hubble’d Together has a light teal jelly base with multicolor unicorn flakes and holographic micro flakes. This polish is also supposed to glow-in-the-dark; however, after about 4 months of owning this shade, the glow-in-the-dark effect was barely noticeable. I wasn’t able to capture any photos of it glowing. However, this doesn’t bother me at all, as I really just wanted this shade for its beauty in the light!

Here are some shots of this shade outdoors under direct sunlight. The holographic flakes come to life in the sun, but the colorful flakes are still noticeable, too! The main difference I noticed in outdoor lighting compared to artificial lighting was that this shade is a bit more green-toned indoors.

Finally, here are a couple shots of Hubble’d Together outdoors in indirect light.
