Emily de Molly is kickstarting 2019 with a gorgeous new collection of eight polishes! This collection will launch on Wednesday, January 9th at 10am on the Australian site and on Tuesday, January 8th at 6pm EST on the USA and international site. I found all eight of these polishes to be opaque in two creamy, easy to apply coats of polish. Keep scrolling to see the swatches!

“Birthday Project” is a medium blue crelly with copper and iridescent blue glitters. This shade is like wearing a birthday cake with fabulous sprinkles on your nail! The glitters spread very easily across the nail during application– no need to keep shaking the bottle or move the glitters around with your brush.

“Heated Discussions” has a dark red base with gold and pink shimmers and an orange/red magnetic effect. I used my Emily de Molly nail polish magnet over each nail for approximately 20 seconds after applying a second coat as well as after top coat. Be sure to use the magnet one nail at a time while the polish is still wet to achieve this sharp magnetic effect.

“Leave It To Me” has a purple base with pink to copper shifting shimmer and metallic silver flakes. This berry-leaning purple is right up my purple-loving alley! I love the slight shift to this shade as well as the fun addition of the small metallic flakes.

“Midnight Mermaid” has a dark blue base with green shimmer and blue iridescent flakes. For me, this is the most unique shade in this collection. The dark blue base appears almost seaweed green due to the green shimmer, as if you’re looking down at the ocean floor. The cobalt blue iridescent flakes look stunning against the shimmery base. Again, the flakies in this shade spread incredibly easily across the nail. I would recommend using few and very straight brush strokes with this shade to avoid any obvious brush strokes left on the nail due to the added shimmer.

“Opposite Order” has a brown base with turquoise blue to purple foil shifting shimmer. This is another very unique polish! The turquoise to purple shifting shimmer is so bright and noticeable that it’s hard to even tell that there is a brown base underneath.

“Revolving Door” is a dark brown holographic with copper flakes, copper microglitters, and a gold/copper magnetic effect. This shade reminds me of coffee with a nice dose of creamer! Like with Heated Discussions, I used my Emily de Molly nail polish magnet over each nail for approximately 20 seconds after applying a second coat as well as after top coat. Be sure to use the magnet one nail at a time while the polish is still wet to achieve this sharp magnetic effect.

“Trips Abroad” is a bright sunflower yellow with iridescent flakes and gold microglitters. I absolutely love this yellow and can’t wait to wear it again this year during sunflower season! The touch of iridescent yellow flakes gives this polish a lot of depth.

“Vexed” is a pale brown holographic with green to pink foil shimmer and silver microglitters. In person the light green shimmer stands out even more beautifully. If you love holographic and are looking for a beautiful nude shade to wear to work, this shade should be on your wishlist!
