This month I have a slew of upcoming Polish Pickup shades to share with you! This post will include shades from 1850 Artisan Polish, Cameo Colours, Chirality, Emily de Molly, Ethereal Lacquer, Illyrian Polish, and Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer.

New to Polish Pickup? Every month, PPU has a theme voted on by fans. Tons of indie makers then create a polish inspired by that theme. You can order as many shades from any maker participating that month for a flat rate of $3 shipping in the U.S. You can learn more about PPU on their website here! This month’s theme is “duos and pairs”, and these polishes will be available from February 1-4th on the Polish Pickup website. This month, some creators are pairing up to create duos, and some creators are creating a shade inspired by a specific duo.
1850 Artisan Polish was inspired by Sherlock and Moriarty to create “The Final Problem”, specifically inspired by Moriarty. Check out Girly Bits’ Polish Pickup shade to see the other half of this duo inspired by Sherlock. The Final Problem is a moody multichrome with gold microflakes. I found this polish to be opaque in 2-3 coats of polish. This shade will be $12.00 and has a cap of 200 bottles.

Chirality created “We’re Just Like Kevin Bacon”, a dark indigo to boysenberry shifting shade with teal to purple shifting shimmers, purple to magenta shifting shimmers, pops of emerald sparkles, and a scattered holographic effect. I used two coats of polish for these swatches. This shade will retail for $10.00 and has no cap.

Cameo Colours Lacquers was inspired by Turk and JD from Scrubs to create “Dude, We’re a Little Married”. This shade is a blue to green transitioning thermal that has beautiful blue-green and indigo-purple shifting shimmer, holographic microflakes, and lime-blue-gold UCC flakes. Keep scrolling to see this polish in the full warm state (blue) and the full cold state (green). This shade will retail for $11.00 and has a cap of 100 bottles of polish.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer was inspired by Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad to create “We Got Great Chemistry”. This shade is a deepened turquoise crelly with gold, green, and blue UCC flakies. My swatches show this polish in three coats of polish. This shade will retail for $13.00 and has a cap of 75 bottles of polish.

Ethereal Lacquer and Illyrian Polish teamed up together for February’s pre-order to create shades inspired by two of nature’s best friends: the butterfly and flower! Ethereal Lacquer created “Morph”, and Illyrian created “Psyche”. First up are swatches of Ethereal’s contribution. This shade is a sheer teal jelly that is packed with pink to gold shimmer and purple and aqua iridescent flakes. I used three thin coats of polish for my swatches.

Here is the other half of this duo, a beautiful black flakie shade from Illyrian. This shade has a black base packed with multicolor flakies and a sprinkling of holographic. I used three thin coats of polish for my swatches.

Emily de Molly was inspired by Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber to create “We’re There”, a duck egg blue/green with blue chrome flakes. My swatches show this shade in two coats of polish. This shade will be capped at 230 bottles.
