I’m so happy to get to celebrate the 8th anniversary of one of my all-time favorite indie brands, Emily de Molly! Emily de Molly’s Anniversary Collection plus two new LE shades will release on Wednesday, June 10th at 8PM EDT on the USA/International site and on Thursday, June 11th at 10AM AEST on the Australian site. Keep scrolling to see my swatches of this beautiful collection, all of which are opaque in 2 easy coats of polish!

“Open Work” has a purple base with pink/gold/green shifting aurora shimmer. The shift in this shade is beautiful and it glows a beautiful green in certain light.

“Hands Held High” has a dusty pink base with a strong gold shimmer overlay. This is one of my personal favorites from this collection- I can’t resist a strong shimmer shade like this one!

“Thereabouts” has a vibrant fuchsia- purple crelly base with scattered neon pink glitters. This is such a fun shade!

“Stuck in the Clouds” has a dark blue base with copper/gold/green shifting aurora shimmer. This is another stunning, unique shimmer shade with an outstanding green glow in certain light.

“A New Place” has a light grey base with pink/gold/green shifting chrome flakies. The color of the chrome flakies stand out a bit more in person than they appear in my swatches.

“Only Us” has a dark blurple base with blue iridescent flakes and pink/gold/green shifting shimmer. I love the shimmer in the background of this shade behind the flakies!

“Resort to Swim” has a dark turquoise green base with pink/orange/green shifting aurora shimmer. This shade has me aching to jump in the swimming pool- I can’t wait to wear this polish during the summer months.

“Distinct Lines” has a dark berry pink base with metallic gold flakes and a silver white magnetic effect. I held my polish magnet over the still-wet polish for 20-30 seconds to achieve this magnetic effect. Also included are some swatches of Distinct Lines in 2 coats without the magnetic effect.

“One More Try” has a dark purple base with green/blue/purple shifting foil-type shimmer and orange/red shifting glitters. I love the shimmer in this polish!

“Day to Day” has a very pale fawn base with blue micro flakes. This subtle shade is perfect for the workplace!

“LE 231” has a gorgeous dark green base with pink/gold/green multichrome shimmer and silver holographic microglitters. This shade is stunning in person and the pink shimmer stands out beautifully against the pine green base. This is another shade with a beautiful light green glow, as well.

“LE 232” is a must-have with its bright purple base and strong green to pink shifting shimmer. As a purple lover, I can’t get enough of this polish!

Thanks for the review and beautiful pics! But for me, mere human, it’s very important to know 2 things about the varnish (apart from the looks of it): how fast does it dry and (THE most important) how long it’ll stay put without breaks and tips-fading. Can you, please, pour some light on these points of behavior for this brand? Compare with, say, Chanel, Dior, Dance Legend, OPI, A-England – anything to get the idea.. I know that on different nails it will last differently, but some general thoughts? For instance, OPI has great shades in their new formula, but their classic old one WAY better qua durability.. I’m trying to widen my horizon with new brands but won’t like the idea just to waste another 15 Euro for something that’ll chip in the same very day… Or, may be, you could turn me to the place where these points of nail polishes are stressed more?

Absolutely and thank you for your question! Emily de Molly happens to be one of my top favorite indie nail polish brands not only because the colors are so unique and beautiful, but because the formulas are OUTSTANDING. Nearly every single Emily de Molly I have used (and I’ve swatched at least 100 of them!) has been opaque in 2 coats or less, even on my long nails. The colors last on my nails (with base coat and top coat) for at least 7 days. The dry time is very quick and the polished themselves are dry to the touch in about 5-10 minutes depending on the polish base (meaning a jelly or creme might take a bit longer). With the top coat I use they are completely solid and dry in 20-30 minutes. I would definitely say Emily de Molly is the place to start if you’re looking to expand your polish horizons as these shades are stunning and excellent quality and the company is fantastic!
